Important Notes

• Be sure to connect the supplied AC adapter to the drive before installing the driver.
• During the installation of this update, be sure that you are logged in as the Administrator or as a user with Administrative rights.
• To ensure that no other program interferes with the installation, save all work and close all other programs. The Taskbar should be clear of applications before proceeding.
• It is highly recommended to print out these instructions as a reference during the installation process.

Download and Installation Instructions

1. Download the SO-R10060102IY03US.EXE file to a temporary or download directory (please note this directory for reference).
2. Go to the directory where the file was downloaded and double-click the SO-R10060102IY03US.EXE file to begin the installation.
3. At the “Sony PCGA-DVD51 PC Card Driver Fro Windows 98″ box, click Next.
4. At the “Sony PCGA-DVD51 PC Card Driver Windows 98 has been successfully copy to C:WINDOWSDRIVERSDVD51_98 folder”, click Finish.
5. Insert the PCGA-DVD51 interface PC Card into the PCMCIA slot of the notebook, a message “New hardware found for PCI Mass Storage Device” will appear.
6. At the “The wizard search for new drivers for Sony CardBus ATAPI” screen in the New Hardware Wizard box, click Next.
7. At the “What do you want Windows to do?” screen, leave the “Search for the best driver for your device (Recommend)” default setting checked, and click Next.
8. At the “Window will search for new drivers in its driver database…” screen, uncheck the “Floppy disk drives”, and click the check box for “Specify a location”, the “C:WindowsDriversDVD51_98″ should display on the location box. (If the path does not appear in the location box, click the dropdown arrow, it should appear in the dropdown list), click Next.
9. At the “Windows is now ready to install the best driver…” screen, click Next.
10. At the “Windows has finished installing the software that your new hardware device requires” screen, click Finished.

The PCGA-DVD51 driver installation is now completed.
